Going through the change?

I remember when I got up every morning and ran the sweeper through the main arteries of the house. I remember when I washed the saucers underneath the potted plants.
When spring and fall made their way into the schedule, I washed all the windows, inside and out...and pulled the frig and stove, washer and dryer out for seasonal cleaning. I remember how I routinely shampooed the carpets...and there were never drip spots in the frig...or dust on the furniture...on regular cleaning days I could clean my house really good within 2 1/2 hours.

I believe I am going through the change.

I can write my name in the dust on my furniture...This past week...I cleaned our master bath toilet on Tuesday, then I cleaned the shower on Thursday morning and the vanity/sink area Thursday night.

In the past, I would have NEVER settled for that...

Something is happening...my priorities go beyond dust, sponges, sweeper bags and cobwebs...it's unnerving accepting that there is more to life...

I guess @ 43 I'm "going through the change."

I used to be able to clean my ENTIRE house on Saturday. Dust, vaccum, clean the bathrooms, laundry. Now I have to do the dusting and vaccuming one weekend and the bathrooms the next. I simply can't do it all in one day - it exhausts me. It's a pain getting older, isn't it???

What you continually give to the people in your corner of the world goes far beyond the need to clean a little dust off the furniture. You're STILL an awesome lady!
